008: Hackman by The Daily Street
I’ve been following Hackman since his release on the Elevator Music compilation “Pistol In Your Pocket”. I love his sounds… the perfect blend of deep house, UK funky, and garage-but the melodies are what gets me most. Every vocal sample is unique, every sound so smooth, so organic, with crisp percussion and groovy basslines. He’s as old as I am but beyond talented because many of his tracks are extremely musical. It’s a lazy Sunday, Easter Sunday, and not an ounce of me believes in Christ, but every ounce of me is totally diggin’ this mix Hackman made for The Daily Street.
